Some customers who shopped on Myntra during the End of Reason Sale got a little more than they had expected. The Myntra leadership team set out to surprise and delight customers by going out for product deliveries over this weekend, including Chief Executive Officer, Ananth Narayanan.
Myntra delivery agents could be seen zipping across town, fulfilling EORS orders, and the CEO was only too happy to be part of the delivery team. The EORS, India’s biggest fashion shopping sale, recorded an unprecedented number of visitors to Myntra platforms during the sale with over 37 Mn, which included 30 per cent first time buyers. Myntra processed about 7000 orders per minute at peak during these two days.
With EORS-4 exceeding all offline sales put together for top men and women wear brands, Ananth Narayanan reported, “The End of Reason Sale has truly turned out to be the biggest fashion shopping event in the country. Over 3 million products were ordered during the two days. We also saw an unprecedented 1 million app installations and over 37 Mn visits to our platforms. We exceeded the goal of doing 20x of our daily sales target with actual at 23X. The Myntra App during these two days was the #1 app on iOS and top 5 app on android. EORS has reinforced Myntra’s position as India’s foremost house of fashion.”
As always, branded sports category was the most popular; in men and women fashion, t-shirts and shoes were the front runners, with half a million units sold in each of these categories.
Not only that, this EORS also garnered a lot of celebrity endorsement. Stars like Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle, Sania Mirza, Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Arjun Kapoor, all endorsed the sale, with Virat, Hrithik and Deepika supporting their own fashion brand and validating Myntra as the platform for grabbing the best deals for that brand.
