Living up to its mission of using technology to democratize fashion and lifestyle, Myntra today opened its first offline store for the best-selling outdoor lifestyle brand Roadster.
Located on Bengaluru’s famous 100 Feet Road in upmarket Indiranagar locality and spread across a spacious 4000 square feet space, the store is sure to enthral visitors with its look and feel. Technology, which rules daily operations at Myntra, will also keep customers engaged at every step in the store.
These include a video wall, which will be controlled by shoppers through a futuristic touch-interface that will showcase the intricate details of all the Roadster products, besides providing a peek into current international trends. A unique ‘Scan & Go’ purchase mechanism allows shoppers to add their favourites from the Roadster catalogue to their shopping cart on the Myntra App, doing away with shopping bags, checkout counters or billing queues.
Journeys Past n Future
Using Virtual Reality, a special ‘Highway 360’ feature takes people through an interactive virtual road trip that includes dramatic locations and unique experiences. Then, a road ramp creates personalised memorabilia from journeys yet to be taken, using green-screen technology to transport visitors to rare locations and experiences.
Once customers select tokens from a display and place them on the touch-surface, their real-life destination will be revealed, much to their surprise, with the perfect dress code for the journey suggested. That’s Artificial Intelligence at work for you. Another feature, ‘Roadster Crafted’, provides an insight into the making of the brands’ merchandise.
With this move, Myntra is offering its customers an exceptional brand experience, transformed by technology and a new avenue for shopping. This is Myntra’s first step in curating an omni-channel presence and will be a major area of focus in the months to come.
