Customer and Employee Safety Prime Focus at Myntra
A select group of our employees who have started coming to office are noticing how different the place and environment looks. With changing times, we have adapted to new ways of working while also reorganizing our office infrastructure and layout to ensure social distancing guidelines. Employees are definitely going to miss the usual hustle and bustle, as we currently have very limited staff who have returned to office – only those with dependencies on office infrastructure. All our other employees continue to work from the safety of their homes. All the teams, however, are well connected virtually and working towards delivering fashion to the country.
As we begin deliveries once again, our efforts to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for everyone go beyond the standard guidelines. We have left no stone unturned to ensure that the most stringent safety measures are put in place at every touch point for customers, delivery partners and employees. We would like to assure our customers that deliveries from Myntra are absolutely safe.
Beyond the basics
Keeping safe deliveries in mind, our office and fulfillment centers are thoroughly fumigated at regular intervals. All the delivery packages are also being sanitized before reaching the customers.
Masks and sanitizers for all employees are the first line of defence against the virus. However, certain section of employees, who come in regular contact with internal and external people, need more than that and have been provided PPE and face shields.
For office commute, employees are either advised to use their personal vehicles or the office transport facility, where social distancing is being strictly followed. Every vehicle is disinfected and sanitized before each ride. All the employees boarding the office vehicle are screened for temperature and given masks and sanitizers before they enter the vehicle as well as the office.
Needless to say, we have made sure that social distancing is strictly followed thus changing the way we socialize at the workplace completely. We now have partitions on the tables in the cafeteria and in work stations at our warehouses for people to maintain distance. All tables and chairs at our work stations and cafeteria are sanitized before and after use. The elevators will not have more than two people at a time while other common areas such as sports facilities, day care, and relaxation room are shut.
At the end of each working day, all single-use masks are disposed in designated bins which are then disposed via a bio-medical vendor.
We are extremely serious about the health and safety of our employees and are striving towards having additional measures to keep them safe and protected. Resumption of services and limited operations from office is an initial step towards restoration of normalcy; however, being cautious has become an integral part of everything that we do.
We are monitoring the situation closely and are ready to adapt to any required change for the benefit of employees and customers. For now, we wish good health to all our employees and their family, and urge them to maintain the highest standards of safety and hygiene at home and the workplace.
