Inclusivity is the highlight of Myntra’s revised leave policy

At Myntra, we welcome all dimensions of diversity and strive to have an inclusive work environment. It is the commitment of our diverse talent that is taking us to new heights every day. Nothing gives us more contentment than to take care of our dynamic workforce. Care, empathy, and inclusivity have always been Myntra’s core cultural attributes. In the spirit of that, we are happy to announce the new inclusive leave policy for our employees to enhance their privileges and take care of their priorities at work and beyond.

As part of the revised leave policy, Myntraites can enjoy several industry-leading benefits that enable them to rejuvenate and take care of themselves and their loved ones in a carefree manner. These include practices and policies for both physical and mental wellbeing that go beyond the usual conventional policies and guidelines. Our employees can now not only take leaves to focus on their health, they can also take time off to look after the wellbeing of the entire family, to stand by an ailing family member, or simply to take a break and rejuvenate.

Unlimited Wellness Leaves

Keeping in mind the importance of mental health or the need to de-stress and recharge, we have introduced an unlimited wellness leave policy. Myntraites can now avail themselves of an infinite number of days off for both physical and mental wellbeing without worrying about their leave balance.

Wedding Leaves

A wedding is a momentous affair in a person’s life and everyone deserves the right to enjoy this important milestone with their partner. Employees can avail five days’ time off to celebrate the occasion. This includes all weddings performed in accordance with civil unions/marriages registered in any country, including same-sex partner marriages. We are proud to champion the cause of LGBTQIA+ communities. It is yet another step towards strengthening our culture of inclusion.

Care Leaves

While employee wellbeing is our top priority, we strongly believe in empathy, and think of not just our employees but those who are important to them as well. Care leaves allow Myntraites to take up to 14 days off to look after young and older family members in need. We have also have paid bereavement leave of five consecutive days which includes pet bereavement.

Besides leaves such as these, some vacation time is as important as any other in order to recharge and rejuvenate. Employees will have 24 days of vacation leaves in their kitty to travel and spend quality time with their family and loved ones. Employees can also carry forward up to 30 leaves for the coming year. Hand in hand with these, we will also continue with our existing leave policies which include parental leaves (maternity leaves paid 6month leave and paternity leave of 6 weeks), surrogacy leaves, adoption leave (applicable for LGBTQ couples as well), gender reassignment surgery leave, pet leaves for 5 days (pawternity), compensatory offs and others.

An employee can avail sabbatical leave once every three years. In case an employee wants to take a long break from work to pursue higher education or take some time to focus on a hobby, Myntra offers a sabbatical policy with continuous leaves of one year as well.

The new and revised policy is part of our efforts to make sure that our workforce can take good care of their mental and physical wellbeing and strike a balance between health, family, and career. The new inclusive leave policy is a one of its kind in the industry and enables us to continue breaking barriers and reaching uncharted territories with respect to employee welfare.
