#MAGICofEORS: For Saritha and Vinod, the MAGIC lies in constant learning and finding personal growth
The 17th edition of Myntra’s End of Reason Sale (EORS) is just around the corner. It’s one of the most looked forward to events by everyone in the fashion ecosystem – our brand partners, customers, delivery partners, artisans – and needless to say, Myntraites.
The #MAGICofEORS lies in the coming together of some of the most hard-working, determined, and driven individuals, who push boundaries to simply do everything it takes to be the best version of themselves. This includes our MENSA partners, for whom the association with Myntra is to aspire to be a better version of themselves, while events like EORS provide an opportunity to augment their incomes.
Saritha: Shooting multiple hoops for her family
Standing tall, determined, and ever raring to go, Saritha is one of our very first MENSA partners in Hyderabad who continues her journey with Myntra with great pride.
A basketball coach by her full-time profession, Saritha has been challenging the norms by playing roles in the traditionally male-dominated space like logistics and operations. A day in the life of Saritha includes two hours to deliver around 30-40 Myntra packages and sometimes even 80-90 packages a day during peak seasons like EORS. She shuffles tirelessly and confidently between two jobs to ensure she is able to provide for the better opportunities and education to her teenage son.
Saritha got herself trained by the Myntra team on soft skills, ways to interact with customers and how to gather feedback without causing much disruption to the customers. Her indomitable strength, openness towards learning, and, never-say-never attitude has been the driving force behind her professional journey thus far.
“During the pandemic, I did not get a chance to coach at all. It was the income from the Myntra deliveries that kept my family afloat.” Once, when an army personnel saluted Saritha as she delivered his package, her pride in her work as a MENSA partner grew manifold. “That single incident motivates me to date to give my best,” Saritha says, with great pride.
“Some of my family members have also joined MENSA. We are all geared up for EORS-17 together,” she says.
Vinod: Taking steps for a better life
Vinod has spent most of his life running his family’s milk and dairy products’ shop with his father and elder brother. When an opportunity came for him to work as a Myntra delivery partner in 2019, he thought it would be a good way to put his free time to use, while earning an additional income. Besides certain tangible and monetary benefits, joining MENSA has led to a level of independence hitherto unimagined by Vinod. With this new-found independence, he is also discovering the little joys that have helped raise his quality of life and save up for the future educational expenses of his two children.
For Vinod, it’s all about making the most of the opportunities in hand, to be able to constantly grow. During events like EORS, the number of orders that Vinod gets to deliver is considerably high, and that means extra income. But the #MagicofEORS doesn’t end there for Vinod. “I’ve had some Myntra customers who found out about our family business. They have given us one or two big orders for special occasions such as weddings or family functions. More deliveries for me also mean more opportunities to meet potential customers,” he says.
The MENSA initiative is all about boosting and enhancing Myntra’s last-mile delivery. Ever since 2017, the network has added over 15,000 members giving people like Saritha and Vinod a stable source of a second income and an opportunity to improve their and their families’ lifestyle. Myntra’s delivery partners are all set to deliver your bags of joy during our 17th edition of End of Reason Sale, scheduled between 10-16 Dec.
