Myntra App 2.0: Shopping Redefined

The journey of the Myntra fashion app continues to scale new heights. Recently at the 4th Annual Brand Summit, Myntra unveiled the latest version of its app for fashion lovers across the country.

The Version 2.0 of the shopping app transforms the way customers shop for fashion online, by making it more personalized and social. It connects fashion lovers with their favourite brands, celebrities and people of similar taste. It just makes fashion discovery a whole lot better!

Chief Technology Officer at Myntra, Shamik Sharma says, “We are trying to fuse people’s offline and online experiences where they are able to shop and hang out together while being inspired and getting others’ opinion.”

So what all does the 2.0 application version do? It sports features like the ‘style forum’, ‘fashion feed’, ‘profiles’ and ‘partner portal’.


Myntra Style Forum:

Every Myntra customer can create their own profiles and post fashion queries which can be answered by expert stylists, friends, fellow shoppers and even celebrities. In case customers are looking to choose between multiple items, they can create a poll to get a popular vote. Style Forum also allows them to upload and share images to help in understanding and responding to style queries.


Curated content, anyone? Brand Profiles creates a unique opportunity for brands to engage with their customers. The new Myntra App offers partner brands a new way to reach out to over 7.6 million active customers by sharing with them engaging content ranging from new launches to trend stories. The brands can acquire new followers, run specific campaigns and promote new product collections. Nike, for example, already has 21,000 followers on the Myntra platform.


The Partner Portal is a new platform for all partner brands- this is where all the magic happens! It helps brands publish various kinds of content – videos, inspiring articles etc. and target a specific user segment.  The portal also provides tips to brands for increasing their outreach.

The Myntra App Version 2.0 is currently available on the Android platform and will launch some of these features on the iOS platform shortly. What are you waiting for? Have you tried the new app yet?
