With Passion in Every Stitch
Science students become engineers or doctors, right? And then most of the engineers go on to do an MBA. Well, there are a few dreamers out there who decide to give this route a wide berth. Ask Anwar Khan, who chose to tread on the road less traveled, thanks to which, he is today the proud owner of his own clothing label ‘SUO’.
The journey from being an engineer to a fashion designing student, to setting up humble tailoring workshops and finally enrolling for the Myntra Fashion Incubator (MFI) programme to make his dream come true – Anwar has learned a lot. The common thread in all facets of his story so far has been his love for stitching. SUO, which means “to stitch” in Latin, is quite literally a result of that.
“I believe in exploring different aspects of stitching techniques and incorporating them into garments,” says the young designer in an interaction with the Freshly Mynted team.
